About the mechanisms
Peugeot’s salt mill mechanisms are designed to grind coarse dry salt. The stainless steel used is not sensitive to salt corrosion. However, it is strongly recommended that you use salt that is specifically labelled “Suitable for Grinders.” Do not use flaky salt or the pink Himalayan salt, as these mechanisms are not designed to handle those varieties.
Peugeot’s pepper mill mechanisms are designed to grind black, white, and green peppercorns. Pink peppercorns may be used if they are mixed in with one of the previously mentioned varieties (maximum of 15% pink peppercorns). Peugeot pepper mills can also grind coriander.
To maximise the life of your mills, ALWAYS grind clockwise. Grinding anti-clockwise is not effective, and grinding back and forth will damage the mechanism.
Warranty: Peugeot salt and pepper grinding mechanisms come with a lifetime warranty. The exterior of the mill has a 5 year warranty from date of purchase.
Wipe clean with a dry soft cloth. Do not expose to water or liquids. Do not put in the dishwasher.
