Description

Invented after World War II, a Santoku is ideal for all the same kitchen jobs as the European chef’s knife. Meaning “three virtues” or “three blessings”, this knife is best used for chopping, dicing, and mincing. The Santoku has a shorter blade than the traditional 20cm chef’s knife, making it a perfect fit for those with smaller hands. The fine blade profile works in concert with the tsuchime (hammered pattern) finish to allow the knife to glide through the food effortlessly. And the contoured ambidextrous PakkaWood handle will fit snugly in your hand for a secure grip.

Shun Premier knives feature a hand-sharpened 16° double-bevel blade made with 68 layers of stainless steel Damascus cladding surrounding a VG-MAX carbon steel core.

Hardened to 60° Rockwell.

Comes beautifully gift boxed.

Handwash only.

Handcrafted in Japan.
