The Wusthof Ikon Bread Knife is an essential tool for any kitchen. The unique double-serrated edge has clear advantages over the usual single-serrated edge: it remains sharp for longer, requires less pressure while cutting, and is suitable for very precise, smooth cuts. Crusty breads are not crushed while slicing, while soft crust breads are sliced cleanly with no tearing of the delicate surface.
Wusthof Ikon knives are forged from a single piece of chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel. Each knife features a robust hygenic handle, a half bolster for easy sharpening and a second bolster on the butt of the handle for added weight and balance. Each Ikon knife is razor sharp thanks to Wusthof’s PETec laser-sharpening process.
