Jan Davidsz de Heem (1606 – 1684) was a still life painter and one of the major artists of the Dutch Baroque movement, combining brilliant and harmonious colours with a stunningly accurate portrayal of his chosen subjects: a vast array of flowers; European and tropical fruits; butterflies and other insects. More than one hundred of his paintings can be seen in the biggest European galleries such as the Belvedere Vienna, Berlin Museum, Alte Pinakothek Munich, Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and the Royal Museum of Fine Arts in Brussels.
The vase measures 12.5cm tall.
Gentle hand wash only if necessary.
