Thanks to the domed lid made from refractory ceramic, this baker creates the same internal conditions as a traditional bread oven, giving you the perfect level of humidity during baking to ensure a crispy golden crust with a light airy inside. The ribs on the base prevent the loaf from sticking and the small convenient handles make the baker easy to handle, even when it’s hot!

The special clay used in their creation comes straight from Burgundy and is used to make Emile Henry’s special formula HR® (High Resistance) ceramic. It heats evenly for gentle baking and browning, bringing out the most subtle flavours in your baking, and will keep your dishes hot for a long time after being removed from the oven. The supremely durable glaze resists scratches and will not chip, crack, or craze over time, nor will it absorb odours or flavours.
Allow your dish to cool down completely before cleaning. Do not pour cold water onto a hot dish as it may shatter from the thermal shock.
For stubborn baked on residue, soak in hot water and white vinegar before cleaning.
Emile Henry dishes are dishwasher safe but we recommend hand washing to maximise the life of your dish.
